We recently took our first international trip to Mexico. It made us want to learn Spanish so we've been working really hard in Duolingo. :)
This website has been a great bookmark to keep track of fun places to go in Austin, so we can easily find places to re-visit. So our mom decided to add our international travel here too. This way, when we go back to Mexico City, we'll know where we've been and what we thought of it.
So back to Mexico City. Mexico City is so rich and full of history. It was the capital city of the Incas, the people who lived there before the Spanish came.
We stayed in a part of Mexico City called Roma Norte. Our favorite place to visit was Chapultatec Park or Grasshopper Park. There, we visited El Castillo (the castle), El Museo Anthropologico (the Anthropology Museum) and rode el tren (the train). We also went to a pastilleria or a bakery just outside the gates of Chapultatec Park that had the softest Concha.
Some other fun things we did: We also took a private tamale making class and a churro making class we found on AirBnB.
